KOTG DJ Profiles
Keep Off The Grass are a DJ collective based in Berkshire. With a number of events in the area and their infamous free summer parties in Victoria Park Newbury, KOTG are one of the areas foremost DJ groups.
The collective (Alber, Robbins, Neil&Dan, Walshy & Big Hag) are a group of like minded DJ's brought together by their love of a variety of music. Co Ordinator Alber felt Newbury seriously lacked an outlet of quality house music and the opportunity to gather a bunch of like minded people together, just to enjoy the sunshine, a cold beer and some great tunes. So, on the back of many events they'd organised in the past, KOTG was born. Twice per year, KOTG take over half the park in Newbury for an all day event covering deep and soulful house, to funky breaks, to chillout and anything else with a summer vibe. The first to run such events in the area, and now in their 6th year, KOTG grows in 2008 with an even bigger diary of events, including world famous Pacha in London, Prominence in Bristol and Itika and Es Paradis in IBIZA. KOTG are now also regularly joined by crew additions and guests Sarah Cox and Mark Brooks. But the summer wouldn't be summer without their now infamous Victoria Park events return. The Keep Off The Grass DJ's now feature heavily in the house scene in the area, and are arguably the leading promoters. With over 30 nights per year featuring a KOTG DJ in Newbury alone, KOTG's upfront mix of electro, deep and funky house (with a scattering of breaks !) has become a must attend night out, with their limited mix CD's, dished out at the events, a must have !
